Travel by car
Turn off the A2 at the Duke of York's Roundabout onto the A258 towards Deal. Continue along the A258 for 7 miles, through the village of Ringwould and town of Walmer, until you reach Deal town centre, turning off Beach Street at the roundabout by Deal Pier onto Broad Street (which becomes Queen Street). Finally, turn right onto West Street. Kent MOMI is located at the corner of West Street and Stanhope Road.
Pay and display car parking is available at the West Street Car Park (formerly St George’s Car Park; all-day parking; 200m from the museum) and Middle Street Car Park (off Broad Street; max. stay 3 hours; 200m from the museum). The closest pay and display car park is the small Stanhope Road Car Park (off West Street, next to the Astor Theatre; max. stay 4 hours; 50m from the museum). Free parking is available at the Victoria Park Car Park (400m from the museum).
Travel by bus
Stagecoach operates the 12 bus service between Canterbury and Deal 6 days a week (not Sundays or Bank Holidays), with the last direct return bus from Deal being at 2:36pm (a later 4:06pm service runs during the school holidays). The 12 arrives at and departs from Deal South Street (just round the corner from the Deal Timeball Tower), about five minutes’ walk from Kent MOMI.
Stagecoach also operates the 80/81 bus service between Dover and Sandwich via Deal 7 days a week. The Deal Queen Street stop is closest to Kent MOMI (walk west to the junction with West Street and then north past Sainsbury’s). Note that some 80/81 buses from Deal change number at Sandwich to become the 43 bus service to Canterbury and vice versa, providing a return route to Canterbury after the last 12 from Deal South Street direct to Canterbury, and a route between Canterbury and Deal on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Regent Coaches operates the 93 bus service between Dover and Deal 6 days a week (not Sundays and Bank Holidays). The 93 arrives at and departs from Deal South Street.
Travel by train
The museum is two minutes' walk from Deal railway station. The station and all trains serving it are operated by Southeastern. The station is on the Kent Coast Line (trains from London Charing Cross) and HS1 (trains from London St Pancras) and is just 45 minutes from Ashford International.
